Merry Christmas/God Jul

Henrik and I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
See you next year!

All wrapped up

Finally, my Christmas shopping is done and wrapped! Phew! Won't be leaving it until the last minute ever again!

Krakatoa

Bought the very lovely "krakatoa" print from Studio Violet for a friend, but as soon as it arrived I framed it and put it on my wall instead!!! I love it! So cold in London right now, lots of snow still on the ground. School has broken up and Im free as a bird for 2 whole weeks and looking forward to trips to Liverpool and Norway.

Happy 3rd Advent

We did our last trip of the year to Columbia Rd today to stock up on the last of our Christmas decorations, seemed as though most of London had the same idea-never seen it so busy!
Christmas is so near now (and I still have not started shopping for presents yet!!!)

Let the decorating begin!

I know it's early but I was really keen to get our Christmas decorations up this year!
We bought our tree last night and did a bit of decorating and today I made Pepper kaker (Ginger biscuits to us Brits) decorations for the tree. I made 8 that looked nice enough for the tree (and the rejects I ate!)

Peyton and Byrne

Popped into the West End after work to do some Christmas shopping and could not resist a cake from Peyton and Byrne. It looked better than it tasted!

Happy 1st advent

I always thought advent started on Dec 1st (thats the day I used to open the first little window on my advent calender) but this year we are doing things Henrik's family tradition way and started today with our four candles, he will light one candle each Sunday on the run up to Christmas. We did'nt have the correct advent candle holder so Henrik whipped one up out of some things we already had!
We also shopped in Heal's today for some new decorations...

Almost the weekend

Its been a long old week despite being off work for a day and a half (that swine flu vaccine left me feeling like crap) Dying for the weekend to arrive for a lie in, seeing the christmas lights being turned in in Primrose Hill, Christmas carols and The Cologne Christmas market at the Southbank. Im really getting in the festive mood now....

Oink, oink

Saturdays breakfast and my latest Charity Shop find.
I just had the Swine Flu vaccine (and now Im googling the side effects!)

This evening

Its soooooo windy outside. A hot bath, hot soup and some glogg sorted us out!

Lovely light

Finally some nice light, this week has been grey, wet and stormy.
Just booked flights for Norway on December 29th, we will spend New Year there and Christmas in Liverpool with my family. Can't quite believe Christmas is so close. Yikes!

Columbia Rd wander

After spending saturday indoors we got up bright and early to visit the flower market, we drank coffee, ate bagels and bought a few succulents and bulbs then wandered back home again. We are now back on the sofa, its raining and there is a sausage stew in the oven.....

Saturday at home

Henrik has pulled a muscle in his calf and cant walk. I have some kind of sinus problem and cant breathe! We are staying home watching films and eating crap!
