Gone on hoiliday

To celebrate our first wedding anniversary on Aug 2nd. We will be having fun in Norway and Denmark. See you soon!

My Monday

I spent the day at home, relaxing. I did not unpack a thing. We had a nice dinner, some scooby snacks and then watched True Blood (which I am LOVING)

Rain,rain, go away

From Friday this will be the view from our bedroom window. Im praying the
weather cheers up and the rain dries up by in Oslo by then.....

My latest bargains

An Ercol coffee table from the antique fair I visited with Elise on Saturday,
a pair of Danish Vikings I found for Henrik on e-bay (he hates them!) and
some lovely turned wood candlesticks, the whole set for under £10.
I need to stop spending money, even if they are bargains!

Lavender fields forever

Today we went here. You pay £3, they give you a pair of scissors and
a bag and you pick as much lavender as you like. The smell was amazing
and it was lovely to get out of London for a few hours. I did get stung by
a bee on my finger though, really sore and now it's swollen like a balloon!

Getting organised

I found the will to open and unpack some more boxes today (I'd become
so bored of it) Im glad I did because I found this lovely red hare print that
I'd been meaning to frame for months and also a Portmeirion pot that I
found in a junk shop last year. Im still constantly moving things about and
trying out new things.....

e bay joy

As much as I love trawling e bay I also hate it, I never bother with
last minute bidding wars cause it's just too stressful so you can imagine
my surprise when I won these two little beauties. A lovely Arabia marmalade
pot for under £3 and the lovely Bjorn Wiinblad plaque for £6. Lovely!

Bersa Breakfast

I just started a 7 week holiday off work and to celebrate I had breakfast on our
beautiful Gustavsberg crockery (a wedding present from Elise) At £65.00 for a
cup and saucer lets just say I sat very still whilst eating and drinking. I LOVE them!

Loveliness

I dont wear much jewelery, but I do love my Clara Francis necklace (another nice
surprise when un-packing!) The lovely plate is by my friend Fliff Carr

Sunday at home

Still unpacking. Will it ever end? It is nice to get all our stuff out
again though.

Bits of our home

Still unpacking, nice to finally unpack lots of our wedding presents after almost
a year.
Many children in my school have swine flu, one more week there before
we finish for the summer, I wish they would close it down now and try to stop
it spreading......

We are in!

We are finally in our new flat and slowly starting to unpack. We moved on the
hottest day of the year and this whole week has been so hot it's left us totally
exhausted and too weary to do much, but yesterday we totally blitzed the place
and started to make it look like home.
Still a long way to go but we are getting there (only 27 boxes left to empty!)
