Our hood

Even though we moved here over two months ago , Henrik and I have not really explored our new neighbourhood until now. It really does not feel like we live in London when you wander around, so green and peaceful, yet 15 minutes in the car and we are in Central London.... Best of both worlds!
p.s I made Henrik stand in the phone box, he REALLY did not want to! Sorry Henrik!

Old tin bath

Found this tin bath at a car boot sale this morning for £1.
Filled it with lots of herbs and it looks lovely sat outside our front door.

Thrifted

Found a Stavangerflint plate,Figgjo Flint pots and some other cute bits and pieces at Bygone times this week. Im thinking of setting up a little online shop with some of this stuff because my cupboards are beginning to groan!

Liverpool

This week I headed up to Liverpool to visit my mum with my friend and her kids (She forbids me to put her name and face on my blog!) The weather was rubbish but we had a great time eating good Northern grub, sinking in sand,Iron men, fun fairs and flea markets . It was my first time away from Henrik since we got married which felt pretty odd!

Sunday

Early car boot sales, farm shops and a bit of DIY. Perfect.
Going up North tomorrow to see my mum, last week of my
summer holidays..... boo hoo
Is'nt that sting ray cute?

Hitchin

Whilst Henrik was putting up blinds this morning I drove to Hitchin to the market.
Felt like getting out of London for a few hours.....

Pottering around

Today was too hot. I've been moaning that summer is yet to arrive in London but now Im ready for autumn! I just pottered about today, tidying, cooking, reading, napping. So lazy, but very nice.....

Brownies

I prefer recipes where I can just throw things together, this one works perfectly
for me. Yum

Wedding

I just found some things from our wedding that made me smile....
A commemorative plate, the felt birds from our cake, the little birds we gave to our guests and the feathers I wore in my hair.
Im going to put them in a special box, keep them safe.
