Bits of the weekend
It was a quiet weekend with some wandering around East London and much time on the sofa.
I made the delicious veggie chili from Door sixteen and a banana loaf from the Hummingbird Bakery cook book. Tomorrow is February so we can say goodbye to January, the most depressing month of the year (in my humble opinion!)
Things I want
I have my eye on three things at the moment (I just got paid so Im itching to spend!)
I cant afford the ring but I can the cushion and the print!! Woo hoo!!
......................................................................
Im a massive fan of Ikea. Some people find it stressful as it can be so busy but not me, its where I go to de-stress and buy myself a few cheap treats. This evening after work I popped in and bought this lovely wool blanket (the last thing I needed was another blanket but what the hell!!)
Vollen
The temp has dropped again in London,at least its not as cold as it was in Norway on these pictures. Im so ready for Spring.....
Saturday
The weekend finally arrived and its so nice to sit down and have a proper breakfast together after a week of rushed bowls of cereal! Apple and raisin pancakes. Yum!
Blue Monday
Today is Blue Monday, which is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year.
I have had a very nice day, not at all depressing!
Sunday
Went into town today for Uniqlo shopping and Beard Papa's delicious cream puffs. Henrik and I have been on diets since the new year so they tasted oh, so good! We then spent the rest of the day eating them on the sofa whilst watching Wallander
warm & cosy
I packed away all the Christmas decorations but was not ready to let go of the fairy lights just yet...they look so nice and twinkly in our fireplace.
Snow free zone
Im tired of looking at snow (be it on photographs or out of my window)
Today the sun popped out for just a few minutes before hiding away again.
Im counting down the days until Spring.....
Oslo
I've never been a fan of Oslo, cant put my finger on it but I just never really liked the feel of the city.....but this time I loved it! Maybe its because I was looking at it through different eyes this time, we are thinking more and more about moving to Norway for a few years..... Who knows....
Nærsnes
How lucky that we get to visit my in laws at least 4 times per year, they really do live in the most amazing little spot. Hard to believe we actually got married in their garden now that it's covered in a thick blanket of snow, and swim in that Fjord, brrrrrr! All these pics are views from their windows. Amazing!
