Kent (part II)

Dungeness is a bleak but beautiful spot in the most southerly point in Kent where artist and film maker Derek Jarman lived at Prospect Cottage in the shadow of the Dungeness Power Station. The Cottage's beach garden was made using local materials found in the beach and the raised wooden text on the side of the house is from a John Donne poem. This is my ideal little holiday home.....

Kent (part I)

We visited Dungeness in Kent which was probably the strangest place I have ever been to in England, I felt like we had been transported to Kansas and kept expecting to see tumbleweed rolling past!

Happy Easter

I never really made much fuss about Easter decorations before but Henrik grew up having a little Easter tree so now we have one too, we also adopted the Norwegian way of filling a paper egg shell with sweets.Much nicer I think..... Today I have finished work for two lovely whole weeks, feels so good. No Norway for us this Easter though as Henrik is saving his holidays for a big long one in the summer,so this weekend we are just heading down to Kent until Tuesday. Happy Easter everyone!
